The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Operations Manager to join a growing business in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused professional to take ownership of contract performance, pricing, reporting, forecasting, and commercial strategy while working closely with senior leadership.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving profitability, improving commercial processes, managing risk, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial operations across contracts, quotations, pricing, and reporting.
- Drive profitability through effective margin management and cost control.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
- Review tenders, quotations, and customer requirements to ensure commercially sound proposals.
- Monitor contract performance, compliance, and revenue recovery.
- Produce commercial reports and performance analysis for senior management.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Work collaboratively with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead and develop team members while promoting a high-performance culture.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a commercial, operational, engineering, manufacturing, facilities management, or service-led environment.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, forecasting, budgeting, and contract management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience leading teams and managing multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial/ERP systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
