My client is a global engineering specialist solutions provider with over 10,000 employees operating in 26 countries world-wide. It has provided specialist Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, Construction, and Technical Support Services to clients in the energy and resources sectors for more than 50 years.
Due to their continued success, they are looking to recruit a Head of engineering, Civil and Structural.
The ideal candidate must have experience of process plant civil & structural engineering covering buildings (substations, control buildings, warehousing etc), equipment structures, equipment foundations, pipe racks, ground improvement (grading, geotechnical & topographical), roads etc for O&G.
You will come with a minimum of15 years core engineering experience in a multi-discipline environment. Must have worked as C&S engineer / lead engineer and have MUST HAVE managed a C&S department for an Engineering organisation.
EPC experience is essential. Excellent leadership, ownership, communication and presentation skills. Experience of managing an eastern work team is essential.
Key responsibilities will include:
Sole responsibility for the management of the Civil & Structural engineering department, management & co-ordination of all C&S engineering work and department personnel.
Ensure efficient C&S engineering support to all projects. All C&S inter-discipline co-ordination with other engineering departments.
Planning & scheduling of work to meet deadlines.
Work allocation to engineering personnel.
Complete department quality control in line with company IMS requirements. Standardisation and consistency of timely engineering output. Performance assessment of department personnel.
Preparation and implementation of department working standards & procedures for efficient and effective work practices.
